In addition to the “normal” list of common metals (As, Pb, etc.), we analyze samples for practically every stable element on the periodic table using ICPMS. Elements such as Y, Nb, Ru, Rh, Te, Hf, Re, Os, Ir, Pr, Dy, and a lot of others whose chemical symbols are hard to recognize. ICPMS is great for heavy elements.

While emission and absorption spectra of elements generally becomes more and more complex as the atomic weight of the element increases, the mass spectrum remains a simple pattern.
